Finish 2013 Strong!

Can you really believe we're almost half way through December? Time has been flying. Despite everything we've all went through in 2013, we still have time left to finish this year out strong! I'm determined to do so. This morning a friend of mine sent me this text so I went and listened to the song. I hope it blesses your day likes it's already blessed mine. I looked up some verses that goes hand in hand with this. We all have weak moments right? I've had more than a few lately but I know I'm only growing stronger from them. 

2 Corithians 12:9-10 Each time he said,  “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”  So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.  That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  

Instagram Inspiration

A Great Friend of mine posted this yesterday. Definitely felt some conviction after reading it. BNspired not to try to force things in your life. This includes friendships, relationships, trying to fit in, etc.. I'm learning this myself. If things don't happen naturally then maybe it's not something you need at the time. We all can strive to learn to be more patient with ourselves. Everybody won't be truly for you & that's fine. When you know your value, you don't have to beg people to like you, be your mate, to spend time with you, or to love you. Long as you're confident in who you are, you'll be fine. 

GREATER IS COMING!

I can't make this up. I'm at my office working on some scheduling. I'm currently listening to Jekalyn Carr - Greater is Coming. I happen to look down on my phone and I see this daily message from Pastor A.D. app. GREATER IS COMING not only for me but for you as well! BNspired to Really Believe That!

Andy Mineo- Curious

Like Rap Music? Check out a great Christian rapper by the name of Andy Mineo. I came across a great song of his titled "Curious". I was talking to Rashad Johnson via Instagram when I seen a post from him which had some of the lyrics to the song on it. It was so ironic because I had been listening to the song earlier that day & the lyrics he had put up was my favorite part of the song! 

I've been focusing more on building my future instead of dwelling on my past. Andy said we should be content & focus on the things God gives, not things he didn't. I Loved that. It was clarity.

AFFIRMATION!

I really didn't realize the true importance of "AFFIRMING" myself that much until I read this in a book titled "One Day My Soul Just Opened Up" by Iyanla Vanzant. This is an amazing book geared towards spiritual strength & personal growth. It's a very applicable read. A couple days ago, the main focal point was "Affirmation". We all know it's better to think about the positives than negatives in your life. One way to do that is to affirm yourself! Everyday throughout your day, BNspired to AFFIRM YOU! Think positive thoughts about yourself, how you look, who you are, things you've done to help others, etc. I'm telling you, this is a great way to build yourself up. 

The truth is you are beautiful, you are smart, you are genuine, you are loving, you are growing, you are better today than you were yesterday & you are well on your way. The truth is your hair does looks pretty, your smile is eye catching, you are unique, you are special, you are a great friend, you are a great companion, you are a wonderful mother, father, sister, brother, aunt t, etc. Tell yourself these things daily!

Clarity Check✔

I was reading one of my devotions the other night and the main verse came from Deuteronomy 31:8. This was my first time reading this verse and as I read it something clicked in my head and brought me back to a verse I had focused on a few weeks ago which was from Hebrews 13:5. This was clarity for me & I just wanted to share with you all that no mater WHAT you're dealing with, TRUST & BELIEVE that God is always there. The word says "He Will Never Fail You, He Will Never Abandon You. Remember these verses, BNspired to implant them into your heart!

Devotion

This was my devotion Saturday Night. It was definitely something 

I needed & was right on time. 

The entire devotion reads:

God's answer of "not now" to Hannah's prayers was difficult to bear while enduring the cutting, taunting word. God's timing may appear to be disconnected from your circumstances, but in hindsight His timing is timely. Weather through the storm, God will give you the strength. If you know of a fellow Christian going through such times, come alongside them and help lift them up.

Despite my circumstances this just goes to let me know that His timing is timely. 

Timely is defined:
as: occurring at a suitable time; seasonable; opportune; well-timed: 

I was thinking of different situations I've been dealing with & the fact that I've been praying for more patience all throughout this year. It only makes sense that if I've been praying for more patience, God would allow certain things to happen that would FORCE me to BE patient. I have faith knowing that everything will work out for my good according to his timing, not mine!

"You Must Lift As You Climb"

This was one of my devotions last night from a GREAT App called "Devotion". It read "While encouraging others is part of following God, how you receive those encouraging words is just as important. Instead of responding with a negative reaction that promotes lack of confidence, accept it gracefully with a simple thank you or one with sincere gratitude. God made you in his image and values your every thought and presence. 

I read this shortly after I watched the "Black Girls Rock" event on t.v. last night. The entire show was very inspirational to me and one of the main quotes I heard was from the creator Beverly Bond. After her speech towards the end of the show she stated "You Must Lift As You Climb" How GREAT is that? That's the sole purpose of why I started this blog "To Inspire and Encourage" others. I believe little things go a long way. BNspired to compliment somebody you don't know today. Trust me it will mean more to them than you know!

I seen this post from a friend last Thursday & honestly it has flashed through my mind a lot every since. It's not by coincidence how just hearing or reading different things kind of connects back to something that really stood out to you before. After I read this post, the main thing that stood out was doing things to please God or "Prove Him Right". That's how we can operate in excellence everyday consistently. 

Looking back over different situations that I've experienced, I'm realizing that even though I love God and try to live right, it's been easy getting wrapped up in trying to please PEOPLE instead of him. After reading this, it was like a lightbulb went off & things really started to make sense to me. 
I'm so glad I can log onto different social networks & see inspirational posts like this one. Thanks AC!!

Pastor Ad daily messages be right on time for me. If you haven't already, I encourage you to download his app. Just type in Adrian Davis in the app store. He sends daily messages of inspiration & they are extremely helpful. 

We all want & think we are ready for so many things. This could be dream jobs, marriage, new friendships, more money, etc. When you pray & pray for certain things to happen & they just don't happen, maybe it's not what you need at that time. Delayed doesn't mean denied. This goes right into God plans being greater than our plans.

I came across this post a couple weeks ago. This really touched me with personal situations I'm going through. I've learned that...well I'm currently in the process of learning to be more patient as well as thankful for everything thats happening to me. I've always believed that God allows things to happen for a reason & with some things not going as I planned, I'm believing God has something even better in store for my future. When our plans fall through, instead of trying to understand why or being upset, we all should strive to TRUST Him more.

Dr. Visit! Sunday Notes At The Rock!

Sunday at The Rock Church here in Birmingham, Al was beyond Amazing. It was one of those "Right On Time" Words. I tried to take as many notes as I could and they have blessed my life and my mind. I hope they bless yours as well.

v.30- "Who touched me?" Everybody else Jesus healed, he touched! But this woman touched him. You won't be blessed until you engage in participatory deliverance! He could easily come to us and call our names but he's looking for us to come to him & call his name! We need to touch God! Seek him & Worship him. 

v.33-34- the frightened woman; the daughter. God only bless his children, sons and daughters! If we won't submit to him he's not going to bless us. In verse 29 the blood stopped but in verse 34 he pronounce her healed. Just because something stops in your life doesn't mean you're healed from it & well! Declare by faith you're well!

Testing..

Reveals to God. Where you stand with them, how much you trust him

Reveals to the Devil- Your testing shows the devil if he can keep up. Shows If you are as rooted in your faith as you say you are. 

Reveals to You-Testing reveals whose really for you, things you appreciate, where you are in life, etc.

*Stay faithful in your testing! We all should be asking for Christ Power more than anything!

Seen this on Instagram & was Nspired!! I have so many things I'm in the process of changing in my life & this just reminded me to really follow through! I've learned that change really starts with your MIND 1st! Once you change your mind & the way you think, then your actions should follow. BNspired to change for the better, no matter what it is. Health, your job, eating habits, relationships, insecurities, laziness, fitness, social groups, etc,.. Make your mind up 1st, then follow through.

Embrace the Struggle

Sticky Note I keep on My desk! This just reminds me that since I know God already has my life planned out & its for the good (Jeremiah 29:11) I don't need to complain or worry when things get tough. He's already got everything worked out in my favor. BNspired to really start believing that for your life.

This was one of my daily devotionals from a while ago. I apologize on not having to many posts this month of July. I wanted to put this up because I know how important it is. 

It says "There is nothing greater than a friend who walks beside you & encourages you. Sometimes we hear words from them we don't want to hear. Often their counsel is needed because they push us on to makes us a  better person. Do you have a friend or companion like this? If no one comes to mind, it's time to look through your phone's contact list. Find one person who can benefit from your friendship & make plans to eat a meal with them. Be the friend that help's others succeed.

Quick story, yesterday I received news about something & I got upset bc it wasn't what I wanted. This happens with us all the time right? We don't always get what we want & we can't help but to get upset sometimes. Well for myself, I got upset then felt so much conviction afterwards. 

Here I am upset about something that is still a major blessing. I struggled with it for awhile until I finally just prayed. I asked God to forgive me for being ungrateful & then I thanked him for continuing to bless me. Bottom line is I felt myself being ungrateful when I shouldn't have been. I wanted to write this post because I like sharing my personal experiences with you all. 

I searched "Be Grateful" on google & looked under images & this billboard sign was the first thing I seen. 

We all have so many things to be Grateful for! I heard that gratitude is the best attitude you can have, so I'm striving for that. BNspired to do the same. Being Grateful is the best way to bring more into your life. The more grateful we are for what we have, maybe the more God will bless us with.

How's Your Prayer Life???

Be honest with yourself. How's your prayer life been lately? Have you been praying only because you need God to do something for you? Is it a quick text message prayer? Sending up requests instead of having a deep conversation with God? Is it just once a day? Once a week? Every now & then? Have you been praying at all?

BNspired wants to encourage you to evaluate your prayer life. Why?

It's simple PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!! I just had a deep personal prayer with God & it inspired me to write this blog. Have you ever prayed and immediately felt so much better afterwards?? I have & that's why I'm writing this now. Having a prayer life has been major in my life. I've grown to pray a lot. I never try to get to comfortable. I've been blessed to much to do that. It's just good to know that God is always there waiting on us to come to him with all our problems, anxieties, worries, praise, feelings, just everything. He is the ultimate best friend. Pray in Good Times as well as Bad! It helps you grow! Tell God what you need and thank him for all he's done!

I received this email last week right after I found out I was being promoted at my job. I've been overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving every since. I think it's very humbling to know and spread that everything I am and have today is all because of God. He has blessed me tremendously and I know he has even greater things in store. I always pray that he continues to bless me so that I may be a blessing to somebody else in some kind of way. I have one heck of a testimony as to how he has worked everything in my life out for my good. I know I'm far from perfect, we all are, but I'm so thankful he continues to love me anyway.
