Day 23 On "The Purpose Driven Life"- The title of this chapter was "How We Grow". Rick Warren basically speaks about how God wants us to grow up. We've all heard the saying, "Some people grow older, but never grow up". Many of us fall into this category whether you're a Christian or not.
Rick states: Spiritual growth is not automatic. It takes an intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort to grow, and persist in growing. I definitely agree. I also think this applies to overall growth in general, not just spiritual growth. Have you ever really thought about how much making and keeping commitments impacts your life? Think about it. Read the page/picture ahead. Our commitments shapes our lives. They can develop us or destroy us but either way they define us. We become whatever we're committed to.
BNspired to take some time and think about your commitments. Are you truly committed to something or just drifting through life. Are you half-hearted committed to something? If you are then the majority of the time you will find yourself frustrated or mediocre. Are you only committed to worldly goals; becoming wealthy or famous? Many of us are afraid to commit to anything.

What are you willing to commit to?
